Susie Johnson

I have been part of Democratic Women’s Club of Highlands County since 2008. I came from Lakeland, FL in 2002 to work at South Florida State College (previous SFCC) as the Financial Aid Director.

I became an active member of the DWC during the first year that Barack Obama ran for President of the United States. During that time as a member, I held the following positions: Treasurer for 6 years; Legislature Representative for 2 years; Region Chair for 4 years; and the President 2018-2021. I am currently holding the Treasurer position.

I also became active in the Democratic Party of Highlands County (Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) servicing as a Precinct Capital and then as the Treasurer for 4 years. I am currently holding Treasurer position again for DEC.
